I’m Isabella Littleford—a fashion industry veteran who’s spent years diving deep into where designer taste meets day-to-day life.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. That experience taught me to recognize high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to offer you expert insights with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of common questions, as well as how to grab them for less, just ahead! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, have a scroll through my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where did you end up buying them?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
What’s the cost?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $410 and $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with goose shoes a EU 36.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Where could someone find a pair like yours?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
What’s the going rate?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $410 and $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
